Hollywood (dBTechno) - Google has announced that they have purchased GrandCentral Communications which is a service which allows people to consolidate many voicemail boxes into one web page as well asto forward phone numbers to a single phone.
The new deal is going to raise quite a few eyebrows as it could be showing that Google may be heading into the direction of creating a service which allows you to check your voicemail over the web and possibly on their e-mail service.
Google Product Manager Wesley Chan stated that “We think GrandCentral’s technology fits well into Google’s efforts to provide services that enhance the collaborative exchange of information between our users.”
The company GrandCentral is currently in private beta for its products and has been operating since September 2006.
