Sony Poised To Make 2008, The Year of the PS3

Boston (dbTechno) - According to an iSuppli analyst, Sony is poised to make 2008 the year of the PS3. It may be the Nintendo Wii that is currently on top of the gaming world, but things could be changing as many expect the PlayStation 3 to make quite a run this year.
Pamela Tufegdzic, analyst for iSuppli stated “2008 will be a turning year for the PS3. Sony is offering a better forthcoming software pipeline with blockbusuter titles like Gran Turismo 5, which will boost PS3 sales this year.” Read more
NASA Clears Space Shuttle Endeavour For Launch

Cape Canaveral (dbTechno) - NASA managers have cleared the U.S. space shuttle Endeavour for launch on March 11. The Endeavour mission will have astronauts bringing up the first of three parts to a Japanese research laboratory being added onto the International Space Station.
There are three flights planned to bring the entire Japanese research complex up to the International Space Station, and it will all begin on March 11. Read more
Paramount Cancels DreamWorks’ Bee Movie on HD-DVD

Hollywood (dbTechno) - We have just received word that Paramount has officially canceled the release of Bee Movie, the DreamWorks Animation film, on HD-DVD, with a Blu-ray release planned in the coming months.
A PR rep for Paramount has confirmed that the film has indeed been canceled and will not see release on the failed Toshiba HD-DVD format. Read more

Educational cartoons that still manage to provide a great deal of entertainment are sometimes hard to find. There are many cartoons out there for kids, but none quite like Caillou. I have a few nieces and nephews and one cartoon they always sit down to watch is Caillou, for some reason or another. Needless to say, they were excited to see Caillou: Caillou’s Family Favorites hit DVD.
The set of episodes from the show has been released by Paramount and PBS and puts forth some fun and quality entertainment for the little ones out there. Read more
Paramount Dropping Future HD-DVD Releases, DreamWorks Stuck

Boston (dbTechno) - The high-definition format war is clearly over, with Blu-ray being the clear cut winner. Some studios though, including DreamWorks Animation and Paramount, are still supporting HD-DVD, for now. Paramount has announced that they have dropped many big HD-DVD releases.
According to reports, the March 4 releases of Into the Wild, and Things We Lost in the Fire will be the last releases for Paramount on HD DVD. Read more

It’s time to face the facts, not everybody has the luxury of having a wireless network in their homes, and not everybody has one that can connect up to their video-game console. This has proven a bit of a problem for Nintendo Wii owners as the system only supports a wireless internet connection, unless you get an extra peripheral. Nyko has come out with exactly one of those peripherals, turning the Wii into a console that can accept a wired LAN connection, the Nyko Net Connect.
The Net Connect is very simple in its design, in that it basically just plugs into the USB port of your Wii, and allows you to plug in an Ethernet cable on the other end of the dongle, turning your Nintendo Wii into a console that can accept a wired internet connection. Read more

One of the biggest pains in regards to the Sony PS3 is the fact that, unless you buy some sort of adapter, the only way to charge your SIXAXIS controller is through a USB cord, causing you to keep your PS3 on at all times while charging. Nyko has come out with a solution to this with the Charge Station 2.
The Charge Station 2 is the second attempt from Nyko to come out with a peripheral to charge your PS3 controllers. This new Charge Base 2 allows users to charge up to 2 PS3 controllers at once through its nicely designed base. Read more
Vitamin E Linked To Increased Risk of Lung Cancer

Boston (dbTechno) - A new U.S. study has shown that taking high doses of vitamin E supplements can actually increase the risk of developing lung cancer. The risk was highest in smokers.
The study looked at 77,000 people. Researchers stated that all of those they followed in the study were between the ages of 50 and 76. Read more

10% of U.S. Adults Not Getting Enough Sleep or Rest

Orlando (dbTechno) - A new government report put out by the CDC has stated that 10% of U.S. adults did not get enough rest or sleep over the past month.
