Number Of HIV Infections Spike In Singapore During 2007

Washington (dbTechno) - According to the Singapore Ministry of Health, the number of cases of HIV infection has rose considerably in 2007. There were 422 new cases reported in 2007, up from only 65 new cases reported in 2006. The total number of cases of HIV infection now stand around 3,500.
In terms of the diversity of the cases, the ministry stated that 93% of these new cases of HIV infection were in fact male. Read more

Baxter Exec. Says Heparin Contamination Was Intentional

Boston (dbTechno) - The chief executive officer of the U.S. drug maker Baxter International, Robert Parkinson, has come out and stated that the contamination of their blood thinner heparin, which caused numerous deaths, was done intentionally and not by accident.
