New Study Shows Water On Mars Too Salty For Life

Washington (dbTechno) - A new study has been released which states the water which was once on Mars would have been too salty to sustain life. This comes as NASA continues the 3-month mission with Phoenix to dig through the soil and ice to try and see if life could have existed.
Scientists from Harvard University in Massachusetts as well as Stony Brook University put out the study after they looked over salt deposits from a rock that was gathered by the NASA Mars rover, Opportunity. Read more
Doctor Of Chris Benoit Indicted On 175 Counts

Washington (dbTechno) - The doctor of former pro wrestler Chris Benoit, Dr. Phil Astin has been indicted on 175 counts related to the disbursement of drugs such as anabolic steroids. Back in June 2007 Benoit killed his wife Nancy, and their son Daniel before hanging himself. Anabolic steroids were found in the home.
Following the tragic event, agents began to raid the home and office of Dr. Phil Astin, who has now been charged with 175 counts including conspiracy in prescribing controlled substances to patients. Read more
Big Three ABC, NBC, and CBS Unite To Fight Cancer

Washington (dbTechno) - The big three television networks ABC, NBC and CBS have announced they will unite for one night for a broadcast called Stand Up To Cancer to try and raise money for cancer research.
The commercial-free event is set to be held on September 5 on ABC, CBS and NBC. It is set to be a major event and will feature many popular recording artists, Hollywood stars, and other types of entertainment. Read more
Roche’s Herceptin Found To Prolong Cancer Survival

Boston (dbTechno) - Roche Holding AG has come out and reported that Herceptin, when combined with chemotherapy actually helps prolong cancer survival for breast cancer patients by three months.
They compared the survival with Herceptin and chemotherapy to the survival with chemotherapy treatment alone. Read more

Study Rates Hospitals In U.S., More Care May Not Be Best

San Francisco (dbTechno) - Consumer Reports has put out a study consisting of over 3,000 hospitals, ranking them on patient care, how much time they spend with patients, type of care, and so on. What they found is that more is not always better for health care.
The results were based on data from the federal Medicare program and go against what you would think of as the better treatment or care for patients. Read more

Sony Signs With Cable Companies To Mix TV And Cable Box
