Rock Band 2 Confirmed For Xbox 360 In September, PS3 Later

Washington (dbTechno) - Harmonix has announced that they will release a sequel to the hit video game Rock Band this year. Rock Band 2 will release on the Xbox 360 this September, followed by a release on the Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii at a later date.
The company confirmed that Rock Band 2 will be fully compatible with all of the existing Rock Band instruments, as well as all of the original Rock Band downloadable content. Read more
Google Strikes Deal With Family Guy Creator For Content

Washington (dbTechno) - Google has signed a deal with the creator of Family Guy, Seth MacFarlane, for content consisting of two-minute episodes of a new cartoon. The new cartoon is called “Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy.” He will produce 50 episodes in total.
The 50 two-minute episodes will be distributed on the internet only as well as through the Adsense network. Read more
GlaxoSmithKline Cervarix Vaccine Faces FDA Approval Delays

Washington (dbTechno) - GlaxoSmithKline PLC has come out and stated that a review of their cervical cancer vaccine Cervarix by the FDA will take longer than expected. U.S. approval of the cervical cancer vaccine has been delayed due to the fact that Glaxo wants to add more data to the review.
GlaxoSmithKline has since stated that they do not expect the FDA to reach a decision as to whether or not they will approve Cervarix until the latter half of 2009. Read more
Airlines Stop Sick Kentucky Girl’s Trip To China For Treatment

Boston (dbTechno) - Miranda Goraflo and her 5-year old daughter Hailey, both from Kentucky, were not allowed to board a plane to Beijing, China. The 5-year old girl was being brought to China to receive stem cell treatments for a potentially fatal genetic disease.
According to reports, the mother has stated that two different airlines both deemed the 5-year old girl to be too sick to fly. Read more
Sony To Release PS3 Firmware 2.40 Wednesday, In-Game XMB

Two Medical Helicopters Collide, Killing 6 In Arizona

Phoenix (dbTechno) - Two medical helicopters were both on their way to a hospital in Flagstaff, Arizona on Sunday when they collided. In total, six people were killed, with three others injured.
The collision of the two medical helicopters took place just east of the Flagstaff Medical Center in Arizona at around 3:45 p.m. local time. Read more

New Law Bans Cell Phones While Driving In California

Sacramento (dbTechno) - Starting on Tuesday, if you are cause using a cell phone while driving in the state of California, you will likely be facing a fine. This comes as a new law is set to go into effect to ban the use of handheld cell phones while driving.
Starting on Tuesday when the law goes into effect, police officers will be able to pull over drivers who violate the law by driving and talking on their cell phone. Read more
