Marie Osmond’s son Commits Suicide

It is being reported that Marie Osmond’s son Michael Blosil has committed suicide in Los Angeles. Michael, dealing with depression for a large part of his life jumped to his death from his L.A. apartment last night.
He left a suicide note behind explaining why he was going to do what he did. Only a few years ago, the troubled teen entered into a rehab program to help him deal with his depression. Read more
Bode Miller Crashes Out Of Slalom

When it comes to the Olympic Men’s Slalom event, American skier Bode Miller will not be in the medal hunt. After only eight seconds on course for his final run, Miller lost control and skied off the course, thus ending his bid to make Olympic history as the only man to win four Alpine medals at the same Olympics.
Miller has been in the mix in every event he has participated in at these games, but will not be a factor today. In his first run of the day, he straddled the fifth gate on course and thus was unable to continue. “I just hooked a tip and it’s obviously disappointing when you’re fired up and you’re skiing well and everything’s there,” Miller said. “You go out of the gate with the intention of absolutely maximizing every turn.” Read more
Andrew Koenig Hung Himself in Stanley Park

More information is being released pertaining to the death of Growing Pains actor Andrew Koenig. It appears that Andrew hung himself from a tree in Stanley Park, bringing an end to his troubled life.
Alarm bells were sounded as to his whereabouts back on February 16, when he did not catch a flight out of Vancouver. At that point, police were called into play, and a full on investigation was launched to try to track him down. Andrew’s parents even flew to Vancouver to help with the search, and it was a search party that they themselves were a part of that eventually found his body hanging from a tree in a secluded area of the park. Gary Coleman Has Seizure On Set Of The Insider

Different Strokes star Gary Coleman has been taken to hospital after suffering a seizure while on the set of The Insider.
According to reports, Gary took the seizure shortly after 10 A.M. yesterday morning but luckily for him Dr. Drew Pinsky was also on the set and treated him until the paramedics arrived. Gary was taken away to hospital in stable condition, and is said to be doing well today. Read more
FDA Approves New Drug for Gaucher disease

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have just approved a new drug to treat patients diagnosed with Gaucher disease. The drug, called Vpriv, comes in an injectable form and is manufactured by Shire.
People with Gaucher disease lack a key enzyme in their bodies which is responsible for breaking down fatty chemicals in the body. Without this enzyme, these dangerous chemicals travel to the liver, spleen, bones and nervous system where they pose serious health risks. Read more
