Radiohead Bringing Album To iTunes
December 10, 2007
Boston (dbTechno) - Radiohead has put an end to their offer of having people pay whatever they wish for a digital version of their new album In Rainbows and is now in talks to bring their album to the Apple iTunes Music Store.
The manager of the band Bryce Edge stated that the group is currently talking to Apple about bringing In Rainbows to the Apple iTunes Music Store.
Radiohead made a bold move not long ago by allowing fans to pay whatever they wished on their site for their album. That all ends on December 10, 2007.
A note on the official site of the band reas “A big thank you to everyone who came and downloaded the music. It’s been the most positive thing we’ve done and we hope you shared the experience with others.”
The new album In Rainbows will go on sale in the UK on December 31st and in the US on January 1st.
Apple stated that “Talks are ongoing with iTunes. A deal with Apple Computer’s download store would represent a massive breakthrough on a number of levels, and one which apparently would require a shift in position from one of the parties.”
No details have been announced yet in regards to a deal between Radiohead and iTunes.
