Starbucks stated that customers will be able to download one free song each week with this new promotionWashington (dbTechno) - Starbucks Corp. has announced that they will be giving away music via the Apple iTunes store. Starbucks stated that customers will be able to download one free song each week with this new promotion.

Starbucks has never been shy about running promotions linked to Apple iTunes. Just one-year ago the company ran a similar set-up where they gave away 6 million songs to customers over iTunes.

This time out, Starbucks is expected to be giving away 1.5 million songs each and every week.

The songs given away will include Counting Crows, Duffy, Carly Simon, and others.

Every Tuesday, Starbucks is going to be giving customers a card which will allow them to download the song of the week from a certain artist.

Once customers receive the card, they have 60 days to go on iTunes and download the song.

The first song, which was released yesterday, was Counting Crows’ Washington Square.
