EA Working On Skate It For Wii With Balance Board Support

Boston (dbTechno) - EA is expected to announce new versions of Skate for the Nintendo Wii and DS this week. The game, Skate It, will function with the Balance Board on the Wii.

Retailers Reveal God of War III Release Date On PS3

Washington (dbTechno) - Though it has not been confirmed in any way by Sony themselves, retailers are all in agreement on the release date of God of War III on the Sony PS3, stating it will arrive next March.
GameStop and Amazon have both begun to take pre-orders for the highly-anticipated God of War III, which has been confirmed as a 2009 release from Sony. Read more
Sony Fires Back At Claims Of Xbox 360 GTA IV Dominance

Boston (dbTechno) - Sony has come out and stated that Microsoft put out some false numbers in regards to how the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV did compared to the Sony PS3 version in terms of sales at retail.
Sony Computer Entertainment Australia’s Managing Director, Michael Ephraim, has come out and told IGN AU that Microsoft’s claims of dominance in terms of Xbox 360 GTA IV sales are false. Read more
Sony Confirms Open Home Beta For PS3 This November

Boston (dbTechno) - Sony has confirmed that the open beta for the PlayStation Home service on the PS3 will kick off this November.

Call of Duty 5 Confirmed For Release Before April 2009

Washington (dbTechno) - Activision has come out and stated that the next entry into the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty 5, will be released on all major platforms, including the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PS2 before April 2009.
Activision stated that the game will release during the 2009 fiscal year, meaning it will be out before the end of March 2009. Read more
PS3 Release Pushes Gran Turismo Above 50 Million Units

Boston (dbTechno) - Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that the worldwide shipment of the Gran Turismo franchise has now exceeded 50 million units. The Gran Turismo franchise launched back in 1997 and has appeared on the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3. The recent release of GT 5: Prologue on the PS3 pushed it above the mark.
Sony stated that within 10 years and 4 months, the franchise has shipped more than 50 million units around the world. Read more
Apple Working On Own Wii Remote For Apple TV Gaming

Boston (dbTechno) - According to reports, Apple filed a patent back in November 2006 for a controller device which looks exactly like the Nintendo Wii Remote. It is believed Apple may use this device for gaming through Apple TV.
Apple has been rumored to use its Apple TV platform as a means to push casual gaming, and it may do so with the use of this device. Read more
Bill Would Force ID Checks When Retailers Sell Games

Boston (dbTechno) - Representatives of the House have proposed a bill which will force retailers to check the ID of people purchasing video games rated M for Mature, or AO for Adults Only. The bill would make the act of selling an M rated game to a minor, a criminal offense.

Kid Icarus To Be Confirmed Exclusivly For Wii At E3

Boston (dbTechno) - According to IGM, Kid Icarus may be unveiled at this year’s E3 as an exclusive release for the Nintendo Wii console.
IGN’s Matt Casamassina stated during episode 7 of the IGN Nintendo Voice Chat podcast that Nintendo may have Kid Icarus as a huge surprise for E3 this year.
