Apple Misses 1,000 Mark for iTunes Movie Rental Service

Washington (dbTechno) - According to reports, Apple has fallen short of their promised 1,000 movies for the rent through the iTunes Store by the end of February. They currently, as of last Friday, only had 399 movies available for rent.

Apple iTunes Store Grows To No. 2 Music Retailer In U.S.

Hollywood (dbTechno) - Apple iTunes continues to grow as it is now the number two music retailer in the United States, right behind Wal-Mart. The new revelation comes from market research firm NPD which has shown just how much the iTunes Store continues to grow in popularity in the U.S.

Apple Cuts Price 1Gb iPod Shuffle, 2GB Model Revealed

Hollywood (dbTechno) - Apple has announced that they have cut the price of the 1GB iPod Shuffle to a very reasonable $49. They have also introduced a 2GB model of the iPod Shuffle at the price point of $69.
The original price for the 1GB iPod Shuffle was set at $79, so this is a pretty big drop as the price has been lowered by $30 to $49. Read more

The product is called DoubleTwist, and it is essentially a DRM killer as it allows users to take any type of music, photo, or video file, and use it on any device or social network, taking all control away from the likes of Apple and iTunes.

Boston (dbTechno) - According to a financial analyst, Apple may be lowering production in the first quarter of 2008 for the Macbook, iPod and iPhone.
According to reports, Apple is apparently reducing the number of iPods, iPhones, and Macbooks they plan to build in the first quarter of 2008.
Craig Berger of FBR Research stated that the first quarter is usually always a let down for technology companies after the fourth quarter. Read more
