Google Android SDK Updated, FCC Approves HTC Dream

Washington (dbTechno) - It has been a big week already for the Google Android mobile software platform to say the least. Not only had the Google Android SDK been updated, but the FCC has approved the first Google Android for sale in the U.S., the HTC Dream.

Turkcell Inks Deal To Bring Apple iPhone 3G To Turkey

Washington (dbTechno) - The leading mobile phone operator in Turkey, Turkcell, has signed a deal to bring the iPhone 3G to the country before the year is out.

Apple Working To Fix Signal Problems With The iPhone 3G

Washington (dbTechno) - Apple is reportedly working around the clock trying to fix major singal problems with their iPhone 3G. This comes as many consumers have sent in complaints, reporting lost signals, dropped calls, and poor connections over the AT&T 3G network.

Boston (dbTechno) - Developer Armin Heinrich made headlines earlier this week with his new iPhone application called I Am Rich. The applictaion was being sold on the App Store for $1,000, and was actually purchased by eight people before it was taken down by Apple.
The developer has managed to earn thousands of dollars in profit from the application, as he managed to sell it to eight different people. Read more
Apple Has The Power To Disable iPhone Apps Remotely

Boston (dbTechno) - Apple has received a great deal of praise over the past month in regards to their move to open up the iPhone to third-party applications. Things are no longer as sunny for Apple though, as it has been revealed that they have been removing apps from the App Store, and have the power to disable iPhone apps remotely.
Reports state that a “kill switch” has been found in the Apple iPhone 2.0 OS, which allows Apple to basically disable any application that they please from your iPhone. Read more
