Music games have began to peak as they continue to grow in terms of popularity with the guitar peripheral being the most popular item in the bunch. The problem though is that the guitars that ship with Rock Band and Guitar Hero do not always like to work together properly. Nyko has come out with a universal wireless solution for the PS3 with the Nyko Frontman wireless guitar.
The first thing to note is that the Nyko Frontman is fully compatible with both Guitar Hero III, as well as Rock Band. It has the ability to switch from Rock Band to Guitar Haro III thanks to a switch on the USB wireless adapter dongle which comes with the guitar. Read more
DS Review Teenage Zombies - Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys

Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys
DS Review
Publisher: Ignition Entertainment
Developer: InLight Entertainment
Players: 1
One thing which the Nintendo DS has not received much love in terms of types of characters, is zombies. DS owners had a Resident Evil release, as well as a few other notable releases with these whacked out creatures, but nothing to really garner any attention. InLight Entertainment has tried to change that with the Nintendo DS game Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys. Is this really an invasion you’ll enjoy though? Or one you want to truly run from?
The game is set up as a slow platformer in a sense, as you have to solve many puzzles along the way as you run into quite a few aliens and zombies. The story is presented in a comic book style as players have to turn the DS on its side to check out everything going on. Read more

We got the privilege to test out a new notebook bag from Kensington called the Contour Balance Notebook Case. This bag is geared towards women and according to Kensington, “Fits like your favorite pair of shoes.” So are they lying or are they telling the truth?
The Contour Balance Notebook Case is an extremely stylish bag which certainly looks great. It comes in brown or black in terms of color choices and has a very elegant design to it. It is simple but looks extremely classy, more like a high-priced pocket book than a notebook case. Read more

The Big Gay Sketch Show: The Complete First Season
DVD Review
Logo
Paramount Home Entertainment
Release: April 30, 2008
The Big Gay Sketch Show comes from the basic cable channel Logo, and aimed to bring a whole new set-up to sketch comedy. Planned out in a similar form to the likes of Mad TV and Saturday Night Live, the entire first and second seasons of The Big Gay Sketch Show has been released on DVD in two box sets.
The show as produced by Rosie O’Donnell and featured director Amanda Bearse. The show includes 8 comedians, who all bring their own unique flair to the action and do a great job of putting out some tremendous material.
The Big Gay Sketch Show has its ups and downs to say the least. They take classic television programs and make them out to be aimed at the homosexual crowd. They also do thsi with political figures and others.
The humor is certainly funny, but does not really push the envelope enough in the first season to be a true hit.
The DVD set features six 22-minute episodes in the first season. They are all uncensored with no beeps or anything of that nature to block stuff it.
The video transfer is very clean and presented in fullscreen, while the audio is put forth in a simple yet effective stereo mix.
The show looks like TV-broadcast quality which should be no surprise to anyone.
The first disc has the episodes, while the second disc features all of the extras. You get some behind-the-scenes looks at how the show was produced, as well as bloopers and such to take a look at.
There are also three bonus sketches added in which are fun to view.
The Big Gay Sketch Show: The Complete First Season is a mixed bag for the most part on DVD. Some of the sketches work well and are very funny, while others fall a bit short.
The extras included in the DVD set are much appreciated for fans though.
In the end, the show is hit or miss, but fans will not be disappointed with this set if they enjoyed it on TV.
Episodes: 6.5 The episodes are hit or miss, with some being funny while others just fall flat.
Video: 6.5 Just standard-quality TV, nothing extra, but it works.
Audio: 7.0 The stereo mix presents the dialogue nicely.
Extras: 7.5 It is nice to see fans of the series get some respectable extras, well done here.
Final Score: 6.9

The Big Gay Sketch Show: The Complete Second Season
DVD Review
Logo
Paramount Home Entertainment
Release: April 30, 2008
The Big Gay Sketch Show returns to Logo for another season of gay, and sometimes funny skit comedy. The second season of the show certainly goes a bit more towards the edge of trying to be very different, with new characters, and more. In the end though, it isn’t much funnier than season one.
The show is back in the second season for another eight episodes presented in this DVD box set. Read more
