Intel Goes Extreme On Notebooks
March 27, 2007

Montreal (dBTechno) - Intel Corporation has announced their launch of the Intel Core 2 Extreme dual-processor for mobile computers.
This is a huge announcement as it puts a lot more power under the hood of notebooks and is the first time the Extreme structure of processor has made its way onto the mobile processors of Intel.
Mooly Eden of Intel stated that “Laptops are the fastest-growing computing market segment and there is increasing demand from those who crave the ultimate in video, gaming and design computing performance yet want the freedom and flexibility that a laptop brings.”
It seems that Intel has found a way as the new processor such as the Intel Core 2 Extreme X7800 will offer 28% more performance compared to previous mobile processors from Intel which is a huge jump.
The OEM cost of one of these processors is set for $851 and should start shipping within the next two weeks.
