Apple Unveils Improved MacBook, MacBook Pro

Apple cleared up all speculation today as they announced new models of their MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks.  The new models get faster processors, as well as added storage.  The MacBook Pro gets the multi-touch track pad which was previously only available in the MacBook Air.Boston (dbTechno) - Apple cleared up all speculation today as they announced new models of their MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks. Apple refreshed their line of laptops today as they moved both the MacBook and the MacBook Pro over to the 45nm Penryn processors from Intel.

They also added more memory, while keeping the price points of the two exactly the same.

The new high-end MacBook Pro will feature models with sizes of 15-inch and 17-inch LCDs. They also nwo have the gesture-based multi-touch track pad built-in which before was only see in the MacBook Air.

They also have double the video memory than past models, and more RAM.

The price points for the MacBook Pro are $1,999, $2,499, and $2,799. They are powered by 2.4GHz and 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo chips, have 2GB of ram, and have either 200GB or 250GB hard drives. The 17-inch model has an option of a backlit LCD screen.

The MacBook is still priced at $1,099, $1,299, and $1,499. It now comes with 13.3 inch displays, and the new Inten Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz and 2.4GHz processors.
