Ideazon’s MERC Stealth Illuminated Gaming Keyboard is a very unique keyboard, clearly geared towards gamers. Ideazon has gone out of the way to try and pack in everything to give gamers the edge on PC games. Keys have been moved around a bit, things are illuminated for late-night gaming, etc. With all of these unique features, does it actually improve your gaming experience?

The first feature worth noting with this keyboard is clearly the illumination. The keyboard can light up to three different colors, red, blue, and purple. You also have the choice to set it to various brightness levels.

Every key is illuminated, making late-night gaming in the dark very easy without having to turn all of the lights on in your room. The only minor hiccup with this is the fact that you have to play around with the lights every time you reset your system.

The other very unique aspect of the keyboard is the Dedicated Gaming Terrain. The keys are tilted a bit and are all soft-touch, allowing for better response and the lack of any type of clicking noises during games. The only issue with this aspect of the keyboard is that it is only for those right-handed. If you use the mouse in your left-hand, you are ot of luck. The included software also lets you customize things any way you please.

The gaming arrows have been relocated to the gaming terrain part of the keyboard, below the numpad. For those who love the classic WASD set-up, this is the keyboard for you.

There are also 34 gaming keys labeled just for the purpose of control. Things such as the jump button, duck, etc. are all located nicely where your left hand will rest. You also have easy access to keys such as save and printscreen.

The Audio In/Out Jacks are also a huge bonus for those who want to be able to quickly hook in headphones and microphones. Two USB 2.0 ports are included as well for hook-ups such as a webcam or something of that nature.

Ideazon has put out a great product here with the Merc Stealth Gaming Keyboard. The layout of the keys will work for the majority of PC gamers out there, minus the lefties, and the keys feel great. The ability for it to light up makes for nice late-night gaming, and the added Audio In/Out jacks, as well as USB 2.0 ports, mean that you don’t have to worry too much about wires coming from your computer over the keyboard.

For those who love the classic WASD set-up on the PC, this is clearly a keyboard to check out.
