They have stated that this switch is going to help businesses cut down on costs as it provides the ability to bridge data centers, servers, and storage area networks.

The new product from Cisco focuses on managing data as well as traffic. It also has the ability to link up the data center with storage servers.

Cisco is hopeful that the new switch will be an attractive tool for businesses looking to try and cut down on operating costs, as well as to simplify their inner-workings.

The Nexus 5000 Series switch was created by Nuova Systems, which Cisco funded and will purchase.

The switch, along with a larger switch introduced earlier this year, continued Cisco’s push for new products and a unified way to efficiently run businesses.
