April 23, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - Microsoft has revealed its new Live Mesh platform to the world. Live Mesh is a new platform which will connect all devices so that they can seamlessly share information with each other. Microsoft aims at using the platform to unify the way people get their PCs and other devices on the internet.
Microsoft will launch the pilot software this week to allow users to synchronize their computers and handheld devices via an internet-based application.
Live Mesh is going to allow files to be stored on Microsoft servers.
From here, people can access these files via the internet on any device.
Microsoft is pushing software developers tow ork with Live Mesh to allow all Microsoft-compatible devices to work with the service.
This would be possible for users to synchronize music or pictures on a cell phone with information you have on your PC at home.
The idea of Live Mesh is to bring devices together that in the past, have not been able to easily communicate and interact.
A Mac version is planned for this year as well.
