May 6, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - Consumer Reports released the personal computer support ratings on Monday, putting Apple Inc. at the top of the list as the king of customer support for personal computers yet again.
Consumer Reports magazine stated that yet again, consumer personal computers ranked as the products which posed the most trouble to people.
The report is put together by readers’ feedback on experiences with over 10,000 desktop and notebook PCs.
Support from all companies proved to only solve around 60% of their problems.
Apple was the only company to get a score higher than 80 out of 100 in both desktop and notebook support.
Apple solved the problem of the consumer 80% of the time, way above the average.
Compared to the competition, there was not even one computer maker who got above a 66.
The closest was Lenovo Group Ltd. which scored a 66 for its support of notebooks.
Dell came in third place for notebooks with a 60, and second in desktops with 56.
