dbTechno reviews the Kensington Contour Balance Notebook CaseKensington Contour Balance Notebook Case

Review
Manufacturer: Kensington
MSRP: $79.99

We got the privilege to test out a new notebook bag from Kensington called the Contour Balance Notebook Case. This bag is geared towards women and according to Kensington, “Fits like your favorite pair of shoes.” So are they lying or are they telling the truth?

The Contour Balance Notebook Case is an extremely stylish bag which certainly looks great. It comes in brown or black in terms of color choices and has a very elegant design to it. It is simple but looks extremely classy, more like a high-priced pocket book than a notebook case.

The bag is made mainly out of water-resistant nylon material which keeps your notebook from getting wet and such. There is also the Air-Flo Contour Panel padding featured makes this one very comfortable bag to carry.

On the sides of the Contour Balance Notebook Case you will find two pretty large open pockets. These are great for storing extra stuff such as books, loose objects, etc.

Open areas are also available on the ends of the bag, allowing for a great deal of storage.

The notebook fits into the dead middle of the bag with two compartments to the outside of it, around the same size. The part where the notebook sits is very cushioned, and dissipates heat nicely.

The case has the ability to hold the majority of 15” notebooks out there, and also has six balls on the bottom made out of solid silver metal. This allows the bag to stand up instead of flopping over every time you rest it down.

It features a detachable shoulder strap as well as handles for easy carrying. The handles stay together via a metal clasp.

The only issue with the bag is that it has a hard time storing larger objects. This is not much of a complaint though, as if it did it would likely have to be a much larger bag. Nonetheless though, it has a hard time zipping shut if you have all three main compartments filled with the laptop and the two side slots.

The bag is absolutely great for a dedicated notebook case as well as for a college student or businesswomen who wants to be stylish carrying their notebook to the office or class. The price point is set at $79.99, right on par with other bags and is a great buy. The bag is available at the Kensington online store.

Final Score: 9.0 dbTechno Recommended
