Gates Happy About Rapid Sales Of Windows Vista
May 9, 2008
Las Vegas (dbTechno) - Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates has come out and stated that he is extremely happy about the “rapid sales rate” that Windows Vista has experienced since it launched.
Gates made a speech on Thursday in Tokyo, stating that sales of Vista are now up to and above the 140 million mark.
This comes as many still are being quite vocal about the fact that they do not want to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows Vista.
So does this mean that all of those in opposition are making more noise than necessary?
This could be true as Microsoft also stated that the adoption of Vista among businesses is right on pace where XP was at during its time of release.
The biggest hurdle for Microsoft is not to get Vista in new systems, but instead to have people upgrade from Windows XP to Windows Vista, which not many want to do at all.
In the eyes of Gates though, it seems he believes things are all sunshine and rainbows for Vista thus far.
