June 27, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Microsoft has announced that they have a plan in place to acquire the mobile software developer, MobiComp.
Microsoft made the announcement that they will purchase the Portuguese mobile software developer, which specializes in both management and data protection technologies.
These technologies work with data on mobile phones, allowing for backups to be created, as well as full-out restorations.
The company is 8-years old and has several mobile carrier partners across the world, with one being Nokia.
MobiComp, on top of those other technologies, also has software to allow mobile users to post from their mobile device on a social networking site.
