Intel Reduces Prices Of Core 2 Duo Chips, Pressures AMD

Washington (dbTechno) - Intel has increased the pressure on AMD as they have announced that they are reducing the prices of theor Core 2 Duo chips.
The desktop Core 2 Duo E8500 (3.16GHz) chip received the biggest price cut from $266 down $183.
Up next was the desktop Core 2 Duo E7200 (2.53GHz) which saw a price cut from $133 to $113.
They also reduced the prices of other chips, as well, including the quad-core Q6600, as well as Xeon server processors.
Xeon server processor prices were cut by around 10% across the board.
This is all according to a new pricing list, dated July 20.
