Apple Issues Mac OS X Security Fix, Patches DNS Flaw

The DNS flaw has been a major concern ever since it became known to the public. The DNS flaw was discovered by security researcher Dan Kaminsky, who has been pushing for companies to issue a patch to put a stop to it.

Details on the DNS exploit were made public by accident on July 21, putting all unpatched systems in a very vulnerable state.

The DNS flaw would allow an attacker to run a cache poisoning attack on your system.

This would take traffic from a domain name, and redirect it to any other domain, likely with malicious content.

Apple is one of a couple of companies who have been dragging their feet, according to experts, with getting the patch out.

Regardless though, the DNS flaw is apparently no longer a concert for Apple users.
