Rumors are popping up left and right, stating that Nvidia may be getting ready to shut down their chipset division, stopping any future developments of their nForce media and communication processors.....Boston (dbTechno) - Rumors are popping up left and right, stating that Nvidia may be getting ready to shut down their chipset division, stopping any future developments of their nForce media and communication processors.

Nvidia has yet to come out and confirm any of this to this point, but reports are stating that the division could be closed very quietly, and very soon.

This news comes as Nvidia continues to get ready for their big develop event, Nvision, set to take place in San Jose, California on August 25th.

Nvidia has a major problem on their hands though as there is not much attention on the show at this point, as many are more interested inw hat they will do about their future chipsets.

Charlie Demerjian of The Inquirer has reported that Nvidia chipsets are pretty much dead, following meetings between the CEO of the company, and manufacturers.
