According to some of the e-mails, many companies were not happy with the decision by Microsoft to lower the requirements to make a computer Windows Vista capable.

Reports have stated that Microsoft made the changes to loosen the standards due to pressure from Intel.

The lawsuit alleges Microsoft deceived customers with their Vista Capable tag on computers that could only run Vista Basic.

E-mails revealed in the court have shown that many from the industry, such as executives from Hewlett Packard wrote to Microsoft explaining they were not happy with the move.

This all came after many computer companies spent a great deal of money to get their PCs up to speed to run Vista in the first place.

This all stems from MS for forcing people and business’s to mandate Vista, a system based on all of their older products and then not giving support for them.
I had worked up from Windows 5 and up to ME. Then before I knew what hit me they
stopped it in a year forcing me to to to XP. Now they are killing XP and forcing the next overblown, space hog, that need bigger and bigger hard drive and too many
things that millions of people do not need. It requires hi-speed connections when
many people live in areas where it is not available and others do not want much except dial-up for email, and a way to look up information. Some of us are not interested in downloading music, movies etc. MS has forced MFG’s to quit making
XP capable sets and sell only Vista, meanwhile they are already a new system just about ready to release which will again repeat MS’s cycle of drop and buy, They must have learned this from General Motors and other car makers.
