(Update) Windows 7 Beta 1 Praised Following Internet Leak
December 30, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Microsoft Windows 7 Beta 1 was leaked onto the Internet for the first time late last week, and has been receiving a great deal of praise thus far.
Windows 7 Beta 1 was originally supposed to be released sometime towards the middle or end of January 2009.
This clearly was too far away for many Internet users though as it has already been leaked onto BitTorrent sites such as The Pirate Bay.
The leaked copies consist of the Windows 7 Build 7000 which is the beta 1 version of the new operating system.
The torrent is reportedly a disk image of the 32-bit version of the new operating system.
The download size for the file is said to be at around 2.44GB and early reports from those who have used it are positive.
Microsoft is getting ready to release Windows 7 in late 2008 as the successor to Windows Vista.
