The report stated that the addictions are just another form of being mentally ill.

Dr. Jerald Block stated that this type of addiction is very similar to a gaming addiction, virtual sex addiction, and other similar acts.

He detailed four symptoms in the article published.

The first is that the excessive use of your computer for e-mails or your phone for texting cause you to neglect sleeping, eating, and lose track of time.

The second symptom is a strong feeling of withdrawal if you do not have access to e-mail or texting.

You also will feel a constant need to improve your equipment, meaning to get a better cell phone or computer, as well as a negative side effects, fatigue, loss of social skills, etc.

This is an extremely interesting report as it states that excessive test messaging and e-mail are basically just a mental illness. Dr. Block stated that South Korea has the greatest amount of research into internet addiction.

He states that it impacts 200,000 South Korean children, with 80% of them likely getting psychotropic medications.

It was noted by Dr. Block that addictions to text messaging, and e-mails have a high relapse rate, and are difficult to treat.

What a crock! The head shrinkers and Big Pharma are trying their best to get everyone in the country on their noxious psychotropic drugs. They don’t care as long as they make money. Why do we allow them to get away with this?

Now we have a new mental illness. :Text messagers. Give me a break. This is not a mental illness but a wow cool technology that these poor unforuntate kids were born into. It’s not their fault..but ours. Texting is communication and communication forms relationships. Are all addictions mental illnesses? I am sure there are some that believe this…but the mental illness is with those that created the drug. Go there first.
