Doctor Uses Claw Hammer To Remove Nail From Man’s Head

Boston (dbTechno) - A Kansas man was shot in the head with a nail gun and has lived to talk about it. The man, George Chandler of Shawnee, Kansas did not even know the nail was in his head until his friend had told him.

His friend, Phil Kern, pointed out to Chandler that a nail was sticking out of his baseball hat.

It was later discovered that Kern actually shot the nail into the head of Chandler by accident.

The 60-year old Chandler sat and waited as emergency services arrived. In the first attempt, doctors tried to remove the nail with a pair of pliers but failed.

Doctors had to use a claw hammer to rip the nail out of the man’s head. The nail was not small either, as it was 2.5 inches long.

The doctor used a DIY tool to finish off the job, and Chandler is now fine with just a few stitches.
