Facebook Bans Photos Which Show Women Breastfeeding

The recent Facebook ban that has been put in place has been in the making for months now.

Facebook has reportedly been asking some female users of their site to remove breastfeeding images.

The reason is that Facebook claims these images violate the Terms of Use of their site, and are obscene.

The area of interest for Facebook is the dark skin around the nipple, or the areola.

Facebook believes that this area is what violates their Terms of Use and makes the images obscene.

The protest though against this has been powerful to say the very least as the nursing advocates group has posted tens of thousands of comments on Facebook, thousands of pictures, etc.

According to the U.S. Right to Breastfeed Act, HR 1948, women are allowed to breastfeed on federal property.  In many places, it is also allowed to be done in public places as well.

  • Just think of the scarring of those young baby’s minds and how they will ever more associate food with obscenity because they have to look at a nipple whenever they are hungry. After all, Facebook prudes have told us it is damaging to young minds and that is why they are protecting us by removing the obscene images.

Perhaps the Facebook crew should start a program of scientific research into devices that will completely cover the breast so that the babies impressionable little minds don’t see the breast while they feed. The world will surely thank them for their caring and protective actions. And a whole new generation of babies will grow up healthy because they no longer have to look at obscenities like nipples (oh, sorry, n*****s).

For the next step I recommend Burkha’s. No chance of any obscenity under them things.

Facebook is a disgrace with this action.

  • wondering, facebook realizes that the breast feeding pictures can be removed and its violation of their terms.

while there are many pages who are promoting hate and provoking thousands of people by using hate speech about their religion and their holy prophets, but its not the violation of facebook terms. Amazing.. lol
