Washington (dbTechno) – Craigslist has announced that they are pulling the plug on a section of their site known as Erotic Services.
The company stated in a blog post that all U.S. Cragislist sites are now going to be getting rid of this particular section.
Any posting in the erotic services category that is now submitted will not be accepted.
On top of that, in just 7 days the category is going to be removed for good from the site.
To replace the Erotic Services section, Craigslist is going to unveil a heavily-monitored Adult Services section.
Any post made to this new section is going to cost a fee of $10, with a re-post costing $5.
Many are very happy about the change following the case of the Craigslist killer, as a man murdered a girl he met on Craigslist.
This is a big move in the right direction for Craigslist as it will allow them to get away from prostitution and such that has smeared the reputation of the site.
