White House physician Jeffrey Kuhlman has given President Barack Obama a clean bill of health but has urged him to quit smoking.
Obama underwent his first physical since becoming US President, and all appears to be in working order, for now.
Like millions of Americans, Barack Obama smokes and has the teltail signs of high cholesterol, two things addressed in his physical report.
According to ABC News’ Dr. Richard Besser, Obama is in the position of being able to lower his cholesterol level via making healthy dietary choices.
“He’s going to tackle it by eliminating those bad fats and adding those fruits, vegetables and fiber,”
Barack’s level of bad cholesterol was 138 milligrams per deciliter of blood, up considerably since it was last checked back in 2007.
As for his smoking habit, it appears that Obama is having a tough time kicking it.
“The president continues to chew nicotine gum,” White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Monday.
