Louisville Shock Syracuse in Final Game at Freedom Hall

The Louisville Cardinals took a big step towards making it to March Madness with a shocking 78-68 win over the number one ranked Syracuse Orange.

Syracuse took a five point lead to the halftime break, and looked well on their way to a victory but to their credit, the Cardinals took the initiative in the second half of the final 20 minutes and took the game.

Unsung hero Kyle Kuric led the Cards to their victory in the final game played at Freedom Hall, pouring in 22 pts, all of which came in the second half.

“It’s an unbelievable moment,” Kuric said. “It’s what every kid dreams of.”

Louisville are on the bubble to make the March tournament but with yesterday’s win have assured themselves a spot in the big dance.

They finish the season with a mark of 20-11, 7-11 in the Big East.
