The Army officer charged in the Fort Hood shooting has been airlifted from a military hospital to a jail cell.
Maj. Nidal Hasan had been a resident of the hospital since the middle of November following the shooting at Fort Hood and faces more than 45 charges.
“Major Nidal Hasan was released from Brooke Army Medical Center and transported to the Bell County Jail overnight,” said an army statement.
He himself was paralyzed in the shootout on November 5th, and will never walk again.
He is charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder.
Hasan is expected to face an Article 32 hearing, as early as July.
