Brett Favre Needs Surgery On Left Ankle

Minnesota Vikings’ star quarterback Brett Favre will need to undergo ankle surgery if he wants to return to the NFL next season.

Favre hurt his left ankle last year, but was still able to propell the club into the NFC title game where they fell to the Saints.

At the age of 40, Brett is also talking retirement, which he has done multiple times before only to come back and continue playing at a high level.

Fans in Viking land would love Brett to come back for another year as they were oh so close to making it last season.

“This decision would be easy if not for my teammates and the fans and the entire Vikings staff. One year truly felt like 10 — much like Green Bay for many years,” Favre said.

Brett has played in the NFL for 19 seasons, 16 of which with the rival Greenbay Packers.
