It was a miserable day on Thursday for Tiger Woods as he continues his golf comeback.
His first round at the Quail Hollow Championship was a disaster as he could only muster up a 2-over-par 74.
He looked out of sourts all day, driving two tee shots into the drink, and finishing nine shots behind leader Bo Van Pelt.
“I hit a bunch of balls left, I hit a bunch of balls right, hit a few down the middle,” Woods, 34, said. “And that was about it.”
In a press conference after his round, Tiger elaborated on his dirty play: “Sometimes when I shoot a high round, I put the clubs away – or break a few. I’m just going to let it go today.”
Woods will hope to have a better round today as he will tee off in one of the earlier pairings with the hope of making the cut for the weekend.
