Tiger Woods has officially missed the cut at the Quail Hollow Championship, his second tournament back after an extended layoff.
In the second round played yesterday, Woods shot a horrible 79, a whopping seven strokes over par.
Woods will have ample time to reflect on this tournament because he will not be around to vy for the title over the weekend, missing the cut for only the sixth time in his entire professional golfing career.
Back at the Masters played three weekends ago, Woods played much better than this week, ending up in a tie for fourth.
Coming into the tourni, Woods’ expectations were high as he had had time to practice more and work on kinks he noticed in his Masters game.
Billy Mayfair currently sits on top of the leaderboard, after a second straight 68.
