Jail or Date Night?

A Florida judge recently ordered Joseph Bray to take his wife out on a date night instead of posting bond for an arrest following a domestic assault.

Bray’s wife says that the argument started when her husband did not acknowledge her birthday and ended after he shoved her onto their sofa and held her neck. He also raised his hand, but never actually struck her.

Judge John Hurley calls the offense “minor” and hopes that this will help solve their marital dispute.

Judge Hurley ordered Bray to get his wife a birthday card and flowers, take her to dinner at Red Lobster, and then go bowling. After their date night, they are supposed to start marriage counseling.
