Police say she and her boyfriend locked up an 8-year-old girl with developmental disabilities in a wooden cage, then left her alone while they headed out to watch a movie
It’s a sad day in New Mexico, where an 8-year old was found locked inside a wooden cage. Worse still, she’s said to suffer from developmental disabilities. The people responsible for this shocking case of child abuse are the girl’s mother, Cindy Patriarchias and her boyfriend Edmond Gonzales. The girl was discovered by Cindy’s estranged husband.
So what was so important that the girl’s mother left her alone in a wooden cage in a mobile home? She and her boyfriend took her three children to watch a movie. The condition of the cage itself is shocking. It was only 2 and a half feet wide and 4 feet tall. This information was pulled directly from the police report that documented the incident. There was only a baby crib’s mattress inside for padding.
There were no physical injuries, but she has been placed with child-protection until the incident is investigated more carefully.
