With the economy in the dumps and jobs hard to come by, a New York man gets creative with his resume. While getting his MBA at the University of Central Florida, the man came up with this great idea so that he could stand out among other applicants. Using only a Nestle Crunch bar and a new label made a Kinko’s, Nick Begley created a new type of resume.
His chocolate bar featured categories such as work ethic, leadership, versatility, creativity and motivation. These traits took the place of nutritional facts that are normally found on chocolate bar wrappers. He even was able to incorporate his education history and skills on the bar.
“People are either going to love or hate it,” Begley told ABCNews.com today. “My focus was to find an organization that would embrace it because if they weren’t open to that kind of out-of-the-box thinking, that wouldn’t be a company that I would fit in well with anyways.”
This idea proved to be a good one because Nick was able to land a job with the Orlando magic basketball team. He was glad to find an outside of the box employer to embrace his creativity and allow him to integrate it into his career.
