What happens when you combine ice cream with Pop-Tarts? You get a sensational new ice cream sandwich being featured by one of the Carl’s Jr. fast food locations in Southern California. The Carl’s Jr.
Pop-Tart Ice Cream Sandwich has popped up on the menu of one of the chain’s restaurants in Newport Beach and is being sold for $1.49. The CEO of the popular fast food chain, which has become a staple throughout the southwestern states known for its hamburgers and commercials advertising their juiciness using scantily clad models, reports that Carl’s considers all of its items as decadent and indulgent and that the new ice cream sandwich represents both qualities.
Locals report that only one undisclosed Newport Beach location of Carl’s Jr. has been testing the new Pop-Tart Ice Cream Sandwich, but company officials haven’t confirmed any sales figures to reflect whether or not the novelty item is a hit or a miss with customers.
The new Pop-Tart and ice cream combo is making an appearance just before the start of the very busy beach season in Southern California. The Carl’s Jr. menu already lists another popular hot weather favorite, ice cream milk shakes made using real ice cream rather than an artificial mix.
