Welsh Rescuers Discover Drowning Person is Minnie Mouse

A distress call in Wales recently reported that a lifeboat crew was desperately needed to help rescue a person who had fallen into the sea in Conwy County.

But when the Holyhead Coastguard rescue crew arrived in the area of Llandudno Beach where the individual has allegedly gone under the water, they discovered that they were rescuing a large inflatable in the form of Walt Disney’s internationally famous animated character, Minnie Mouse.

No charges have been filed in the incident because Coastguard officials believe that the distress call was made by someone who truly believed a human being had fallen into the sea waters and needed immediate assistance.

Minnie Mouse has been a beloved cartoon character since she was first created by animator Ub Iwerks, assisted by Walt Disney. Disney needed a character who could be a romantic pursuit for the male cartoon character of Mickey Mouse. Minnie is distinguished by her red polka dot skirt and hair bow and bright yellow shoes.

The demure character made her first appearance in a film starring Mickey Mouse called Steamboat Willie. Unbeknown to most audience members, it was Walt Disney himself who provided Minnie Mouse’s original voice on screen, followed by a series of voice over actors.
