Florida Woman Bulldozes Neighbor’s Trailer Home
St. Johns Country, Florida – Ana Maria Moreta Folcha is 62-years-old and as such is old enough to remember Doug Llewelyn’s admonition on the old 1980s reality courtroom series “People’s Court”: “Don’t take the law into your own hands, take them to court.” Well, the elderly woman, who should be considering whether to opt for Social Security early retirement, is instead mulling over her legal options from inside country jail.
Folcha had problems with her neighbor who lived in the trailer home next door. She believed the old stereotype of “trailer trash” and attributed a recent car burglary to the low village types attracted to the trailer house. She devised a good way to solve the problem: bull doze the residence. She got a hold of the key and hired a private company to do the honors of razing the unit. When her neighbor returned to find her trailer house demolished, she phoned police who questioned Folcha. She admitted to her misdeed and was arrested on a single count of criminal mischief. Folcha may have gotten the satisfaction of getting even with her neighbor, but she’s now liable in civil court for damages plus her debt to society for her crime. There’s no word yet on what her neighbor plans to do about her residence.
