Arrest Report Details How Woman Cut Baby From Victims Womb

According to the arrest report, the woman suspected of cutting an unborn baby girl out of the womb of an expectant mother worked as a certified nurse’s aide for two years in Colorado.

Dynel Lane’s two-year license with the state expired in 2012, reports Yahoo News.

9Wants to Know has also found an obituary from Pueblo which lists Dynel Cruz as the mother of a 1-year-old boy who died on July 2, 2002. In addition, court records indicate a Dynel Cruz, through marriage, changed her last name to Lane years later.

The obituary says Michael Alexander Cruz was just 19 months old when he passed away.

“He loved playing with his sisters, cousins and friends. He had just learned to sing his first song, ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” His family called the boy “Little Mac,” according to the obituary.

Lane is accused of showing up at a Longmont hospital Wednesday with the deceased, unborn baby girl of the stabbed mother, claiming she had a miscarriage.

Police say Lane’s husband drove her to the emergency room, thinking the child was alive. Her husband is not considered a suspect.

“This is a tragic case for a mother right now,” Longmont Police Department spokesman Jeff Satur said, according to the Associated Press. “She came by this house. She was attacked, and her baby was removed from her.”

Details the terrifying moments when the victim, identified only as Michelle, begs for police to hurry can be heard in a chilling 911 call.

On Thursday, Lane’s bond was set at $2 million.

The woman who was stabbed is recovering in the hospital.
