The latest promotions, coming from the likes of Amazon and others, have some Blu-ray movies selling for under $15.

Many retail stores are going to continue to cut Blu-ray prices as much as they can over the coming months. The idea is going to be to try and get consumers to buy into the fact that Blu-ray is around the same price of the regular standard DVD format. Once they are able to do this they will likely be able to sell more Blu-ray players as well.

Many films are beginning to drop to as low as $15 or less at Amazon.com and other retail stores in the bargian bin.

Some of the notable titles hitting this price point on Amazon.com include Hellboy, The Patriot, and a couple of others.

The promotion is a 50% off select Blu-ray disc titles.

Best Buy is also offering a $20 gift card with the purchase of two Blu-ray movies as well, also to try and promote sales.

It is expected that over the course of the next few months, we will see Blu-ray movies dropping below $10.
