Dark Knight’s Joker, Heath Ledger, Found Dead

New York (dbTechno) - Heath Ledger, who will play the role of The Joker in the upcoming Batman: The Dark Knight, was found dead in his Manhattan apartment around 3:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon. There is no word on the cause of death, but reports are stating that he died due to a drug overdose.
Reports are that a masseuse arrived at his Manhattan apartment to perform a scheduled massage which Ledger booked for himself. Ledger was found dead upon entering the apartment.
He starred in many big films in Hollywood including “10 Things I Hate About You,” “The Patriot,” and many other films. He also won incredible praise for his role in “Brokeback Mountain,” which was up for many Academy Awards.
His most recent work will be seen in the new Batman sequel set to be released.
There is no word on if this will impact Batman: The Dark Knight in any way but the belief at this point is that the principal photography is all done. It is still an incredibly sad story though as he was an actor who many loved to watch perform in theaters. It is truly a sad day in Hollywood.
Health Ledger is survived by his child and ex-wife Michelle Williams. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends on this truly upsetting and tragic day.

I thought he was one of those actors in the vein of Gary Oldman. The artform has lost such a great force. His last preformance will be that of the legendary Joker. An eerie homage to him and the character itself.

What a shock. Such a young man. I do not believe it was suicide. I also, as a fellow australian have felt the loss.
It’s just so sad to lose another brilliant artist while people like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton thrive. I can’t believe he’s actually gone.

I AM VERY SADDENED BY THE TRAGIC NEWS. I WAS EATING DINNER WHEN I SAW THE NEWS FLASH AND I IMMEDIATELY GOT CHOKED UP. HE WAS BEYOND TALENTED AND MADE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH EVERY CHARACTER HE PORTRAYED ON THE BIG SCREEN. HE WAS A GREAT ACTOR WHITH A SMILE THAT COULD MELT YOUR HEART. HE WILL TRULY BE MISSED!!
So very, very sad. Such a huge loss to the acting community, and the human race. I feel for Matilda, Michelle, and the rest of his family. A very big shock to all of us.

i cannot believe heath died he was my role model and i am so sad he was one of the 3 guys i looked up to and he was the top one out of the 3 omg when i heard he died i cryed for 4 days straight!!!!!!!
