Dark Knight Director Nolan Writes Ledger Had “Real Charisma”
January 31, 2008
Hollywood (dbTechno) - The director of Batman: The Dark Knight, Chris Nolan, has written a tribute about Heath Ledger. Nolan was one of the last people to work with the highly-regarded actor Ledger as he played the role of The Joker in The Dark Knight.
The tribute written by Nolan is extremely touching from the first line to the last and will make any Heath Ledger fan likely buckle at the knees a bit after reading it. It truly is a tragedy and the Nolan tribute is something that should be taken extremely seriously and held dear to the heart for fans.
Nolan stated that Ledger has “real charisma.”
Nolan stated that Ledger was a man who was “bursting with creativity. It was in his every gesture.”
He stated “He once told me that he liked to wait between jobs until he was creatively hungry. Until he needed it again. He brought that attitude to our set every day. There aren’t many actors who can make you feel ashamed of how often you complain about doing the best job in the world. Heath was one of them.”
After reading the full tribute you truly can get the sense that Nolan admired Ledger greatly and loved him for his immense amount of on-screen talent as well as his character as a real person.
Nolan stated he is currently in the editing process of The Dark Knight, which now has to be a daunting task to say the least.
To be honest any Heath Ledger fan should truly read the full tribute, which can be found by heading to the NewsWeek link here.
