Call of Duty 4 Named Game of the Year At Awards Show

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was named Overall Game of the Year at the 11th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards Show.Boston (dbTechno) – Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was named Overall Game of the Year at the 11th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards Show.  The game released back in November 2007 on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

The 11th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards Show was held in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday night.

The award for Overall Game of the Year was given to Infinity Ward for their amazing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Project lead Jason West of Infinity Ward stated that with Call of Duty 4, “we wanted to deliver the best, most intense action experience ever. We’re thrilled and truly appreciate that our efforts have been recognized by the Academy, especially with the incredible competition this year.”

Robin Kaminsky, executive vice president of publishing for Activision stated “It’s an honor for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare to be recognized by the Academy as the best game of 2007. The team at Infinity Ward is committed to delivering groundbreaking entertainment to gamers worldwide and all of the awards are an acknowledgement of their talent, dedication and hard work.”

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the best-selling game in 2007 for units sold.
