Paramount Cancels DreamWorks’ Bee Movie on HD-DVD

Hollywood (dbTechno) – We have just received word that Paramount has officially canceled the release of Bee Movie, the DreamWorks Animation film, on HD-DVD, with a Blu-ray release planned in the coming months.

A PR rep for Paramount has confirmed that the film has indeed been canceled and will not see release on the failed Toshiba HD-DVD format.

This comes as news continues to come out regarding the fact that DreamWorks Animation technically still had an exclusive agreement to release films on the HD-DVD format.

This may mean that the film will not be out on Blu-ray immediately, but in the long run will end up releasing on the Blu-ray format.

The film will still release on DVD as planned on March 11, 2008.
