Mario Kart Wii To Hit U.S. April 27 With Own Wii Channel

Nintendo of America confirmed that the highly anticipated Nintendo Wii racer, Mario Kart Wii, will launch in the U.S. on April 27, and will also feature its own Wii Menu channel.Washington (dbTechno) – Nintendo of America confirmed that the highly anticipated Nintendo Wii racer, Mario Kart Wii, will launch in the U.S. on April 27, and will also feature its own Wii Menu channel.

The Mario Kart Wii Channel was announced along with the announcement that the game would release in the U.S. at the end of April.

The channel is going to help build the huge online community for the Wii racer. It will allow gamers to compete it tournaments, check rankings around the world, see friends who are playing, download ghost data, and more.

“Mario Kart Wii transforms one of our most popular franchises into a race that every member of the family can join,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “Driving with the Wii Wheel could not be more natural, and this is one place where speeding is encouraged.”

Mario Kart Wii is scheduled to ship with the Wii Wheel, which will make it easy for beginners to compete with veteran Kart racers.

The online play is going to feature up to 11 other drivers racing against you around the world.

Nintendo stated that the game includes 16 classic courses from previous Mario Kart games, as well as adding in 16 new courses.

Players also have the option to race in either karts or motorbikes, and also can use their Mii characters in the game.

10 battle arenas have also been confirmed.

For those who do not want to use the Wii Wheel, youc an also use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, GameCube controller, or the Classic controller.
