Hacker Manages To Kill Official Scrabble On Facebook

A hacker, apparently upset about the fact that Scrabulous had to be removed from the social networking site Facebook, went on an attack and managed to take down the official Hasbro Inc. Scrabble game.Boston (dbTechno) – A hacker, apparently upset about the fact that Scrabulous had to be removed from the social networking site Facebook, went on an attack and managed to take down the official Hasbro Inc. Scrabble game.

It was just a few days ago when Hasbro Inc. managed to use the power of their lawsuit to get the creators of Scrabulous, Rajat and Jayant Agarwalla, to remove their game from the social networking site Facebook.

It should come to no surprise that many users of Scrabulous are none to happy about the legal action taken by Hasbro in the U.S. and Canada.

According to the Los Angeles Times, one hacker took it into his or her own hands to fight back.

The hacker managed to remove the official Scrabble game from Facebook, crashing it completely.

EA is blaming hackers, stating “EA’s Scrabble Facebook game experienced a malicious attack this morning, resulting in the disabling of Scrabble on Facebook. We’re working with our partners to resolve this issue and have Scrabble back online and ready to play as soon as possible.”

There is no word if this attack was in connection with the move to remove Scrabulous, but it is likely.
